Sometimes people put him on so high a pedestal, it seems he has gone lost, or rather, had gone lost. Because he was so gifted, he brought in sacks of $$, he could do whatever he wanted..

What a waste, the talented michael jackson

He sang 'HEal the world.." yet he struggled with his own

What an irony

Acceptance

That it's ok for others to make decisions for this person

Still learning

Long long, long long long way to go

Envy..is part of human nature. To eradicate..might as well turn to god. But to control, thats key i guess, it's like anger. Even the wisest will succumb, but the issue is frequency and circumstances

Where is the line between reality and fiction

When one still wishes that Prof Dumbledore never died

And yet, as JK rowling wrote, one never dies if the spirit leaves on in those who have been touched by him..or something like that

How to work the procedures in Kwan In temple at waterloo street

1. Buy flowers
2. Get three jossticks, light them, pray
3. Stick jossticks in bowl with other jossticks while trying to avoid flying ashes and smoke
4. Proceed to place flowers in vases near the statue of Guan yin
5. Make donation/offering and put money in wooden box
6. Walk to huge red carpet. Take off shoes
7. Prayer and kowtow
8. Get container filled with sticks with numbers marked on them, plus two things that look like two halves of a very fat chilli
9. Shake container until one stick falls out. Ask about future career/financial/health when shaking it
10. Throw the two-halves-of-chilli-looking item. If both halves have the same side facing person, repeat step 9
11. When the two halves have opposite sides facing person, can return container and item to counter and receive pink slip of paper which will say whether career/financial/health will be good in future, depending on what is asked. If see chim chinese poetic verses that are incomprehensible, sweat not. Flip paper to the back to see the english translation
12. (optional) believe the interpretation

Theres always(?) this trip back after major milestones. After couple of years, the surroundings have changed. Theres even a new organic soyabean drink store nearby

Hmm..not sure if going for 'paul' is like a kid going to listen to a prof talking deep. Whatever biblical message was possibly lost on this person but kinda liked the ideas about tolerance and acceptance of different ways of worship. Believed in the special one but what it is, is a kind of respect. If not wont even be there in the first place. Just that, too lazy to make that huge commitment..prob put off people oops

Could this person actually discuss such things with them?

The biggest mistake is not learning from mistakes @_@

Ask first. Plan second. Execute third

Sounds simple enough

Wa why so serious..

Again wanna be like dory. Oblivious to surroundings and worry-less. (Yea, the mantra once again, ..just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming..)

Oh, and speak whale =)))

Yes, alone. Been asked this question enough times to actually feel proud to answer it as such =)

Its nothing to be ashamed of

It doesn deserve curious glances

It doesn need any sympathy

Yikes..the proof of the pudding lies in the EATING. Thats the proper phrase. Have been abusing the term for some time

Chendol from Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant. The place serves Peranakan Indo food. So dont really have that distinct peranakan taste. Actually dont know what is this so-called 'peranakan taste' but guess the proof of the pudding is in the belachan chilli, which tasted well..mediocre. But overall, think the meal was hearty and satisfying, at least there werent any nails in the food haha

Window. View. Trees, Highway,'Hill' (which is actually a huge sand pile owned by hdb). Bougainvilleas. Prettier than they look in the photos oops.

Its only been a couple of months (?) and suddenly this new shopping mall sprouted from nowhere- the new Iluma- diagonally opp bugis junction. It's big and dotted with stars on the exterior. No need to decorate for xmas haha, there is already this qian2 wei4 looking snow atmosphere around it. The architect really knows how to help the mall owners save money?

Architectural exhibition on the top floor by..archi students. An eye-opener. Its like going to a 3D art exhibition. The intricacies and details in the models..reminds of the design & tech lessons in sec sch which are infants' work compared to these masterpieces. The concepts created and then translated into actual designs..mind boggling stuff, just stick to admiring the final products haha

To truly understand the meaning of 'time flies', mahjong must be played. Alzheimer's patients should be encouraged to take up this game, no, sport. Cos a mahjong marahthon may really be the medicine needed to delay the deterioration of the brain

One more note to an ex-school group mate that he would very unlikely receive, cos not gonna convey to him:

Thanks really, for being the only one so far to tell this person as it is, whether her work is up to par or not. The discomfort is there. Other groupmates probably sense it so they hold back to give 'face' or something? But really valued that kind of honesty that even this person is sometimes incapable of showing

Nanyang Optical offers glasses made with frames from recycled materials!

And can drop off old specs there and they will send them all for recycling =)

Hotel Rendezvous! Rendezvous Restaurant. Good old curries.

Confused

What are the good Peranakan restaurants in the east area? Highlight the word GOOD. There are so many around. Dime a dozen?
Kim Choo Restaurant - out, cos the food is so-so.
Chilli Padi - out OUT, cos of an additional ingredient, a (possibly) rusty nail in one dish
Peranakan Inn?
Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant?
True Blue?

Hmm
